I have a both a16 RX and a 18 RX and would like to know if it's possible to update the 16 RX's Navigation maps using the SD card in my 18 RX. Will the Navigation work if the SD is removed?

 

Nav will not work without the SD card. As far as i know, the maps are stored on the SD only, nothing is stored in the nav itself.

 

What would happen if I switch the SD cards in my 16 and 18 RXs?

 

Is there a way to buy updated Navigation SD cards outside of the Lexus dealership?

 

has the question been answered about suing the 2018 SD card in a 2016 Navigation unit ?
i have a 2016 ES300h I just bought it still has the orignal SD map in it
and i am on ebay trying to find SD card map updates
but seems like what im finding is a bun of Gen 9 sd cards will the gen 9 cd card so if i get a gen 9 sd card will it work in my gen 8 system ?

or can someone help me with he particiluar part numbers for the sd cards that i will need for the lateast updates for 2018 and 2019 maps ? i thinkits version 18.1 was from the update from 2018 ?

 

any info on this ? can someone hook me up with the part number for the SD cards that will work in my 2016 ES300h ?
