Greetings to all,
My wife's 2010 ES 350 was in an accident and the insurance company determined that the vehicle was totaled. This car only has 50,900 miles on it, so we decided to keep the car and settled the difference in cash.
I am a GM certified technician (over 30 years) and have taken on the task to restore this vehicle. This vehicle was shoved under the rear end of a Jeep Cherokee in front of us (see pic). No one was injured but the Lexus,,
...There was no air bag deployment as we were only travelling at about 5 mph when a KIA slammed into the rear end of the Lexus (rear bumper cover and energy absorber damage). The ES 350 shows no sign of frame/ structural damage. The hood, right side radiator support, right side fender, headlight, bumper cover, energy absorber, condenser, radiator, engine side wiring harness, right side upper engine strut rod and engine support bracket and ecm all received damage.I currently have 2 issues that I hope someone can help me with.
1.) After removing the engine side wiring harness and ecm, I found that the 60 pin connector (see pic) to the ecm was damaged also. I have replaced the connector but want to verify that all wires are in the correct pin location before proceeding to install back into the ecm. I found a pic of the connector (see pic) but have been unable to find a wiring schematic that shows the color coded wires pin location. Does anyone have a more valid wiring diagram for this connector?
2.) This is a major concern for me. The distance between the engine cylinder head and the firewall mounted ecm is only about 1 inch. When this vehicle was hit, the engine rocked back and broke the cover to the ecm. If anyone has a 2010 ES 350, could you please measure the distance from the engine to the ecm and let me know?
Thanks for any help in advance..

Hey, I think you would be better off posting this in the es350 section instead of the audio/video section.I think my brothers es350 is 2010, I can snap a picture and text it to you when I get home tonight.
Great... I realized that it might be better in the es350 forum, so I posted it there also... I just joined this group, so please be patient with me. I will e looking for your pic. Thanks for your help..
Hey ToDesi,
Did you get a chance to look at the ECM location on the Lexus firewall? Mine sure looks close to the engine..
