Question The Best Radar Detector Is ????

Whats up Folks?

Since I have pretty much exhausted every mod I could possibly want, I'm now looking to add a Top Notch Radar Detector & any accessory associated with one.
Just joined the Escort Forum to pick some brains. Back in the 80s I owned one of those "Cincinnati Microwave" Escorts which would squawk out all sorts of sounds, most of them always being some Walmart Entrance False Alarm too. After all the research Ive done, it looks like I'll need one of those "Stealth Mode" models which are "undetectable" ya know?

Seeking any input from the membership on what Brand. Model and feedback is working best for you?

Was going to put it out as a Poll but each Brand has numerous models, so figured I'd just let you all roll with the
Brand & Model ok? A few links I've been surfing thru. Each has their own #1 pick and they're pretty much "Escort Friendly" (Forgive the Pun)

Many thanks & Semper Fidelis!!

What about K40? Why not consider this system?

I have the valentine but I was looking at the Escort Max360 also. I think they're BOTH great detectors but it just depends how patient you are in setting it up. The Max360 is very simple to use straight out of the box; mount it, pair it up with your phone, and go.The Valentine does NOT come with bluetooth so you need to get the adapter for it. Pair it with your phone and then there's a bunch of options. It's best to use the V1 connection app to setup and then use the V1 driver app from there on. I have 2 profiles on my V1; one for city/basic highway driving. The other is for country spirited drives where there's no many things (beside cops) to trigger the alarms. City profile will ignore a lot of false alarms so it'll take a tad bit longer. The other profile has a larger range where it'll track and being in the country, it'll report all alarms but there's not much out there to trigger the alarms.

The miss has the Max360 on her car because it's quick/easy, she doesn't have to deal with the profiles, or fiddle with it. I prefer the V1 since I like messing with the options and switching my profile. BOTH units have the directional arrows now since the patent on it from V1 is up. Once you get the V1 hooked up to your phone, you can tell it to ignore certain false alarms in the same spot of your daily commute.

Biggest difference between the 2 is the V1 will always be upgradable. Escort can UPDATE the firmware but you can send your V1 back and have them do the hardware updates also. Just depends if you want to spend $100-$200 here and there to update the V1 or a new unit from Escort for $$$$ every 5-10 years. The V1 body shell is pretty bulky though; probably because it's been that shell forever.
