Default firewall question

i'm running an 8 gauge power wire to my amp in the trunk, where's the easiest place to get through the firewall? got any pictures of the places? thanx

There are a few guys on here (1Loudlex, Kyle Harty) that have done audio work on their ES's. I don't know of any place offhand, unfortunately. If you're going to drill, make sure you know what's on the other side, and use a proper rubber grommet to get a good seal and to keep the metal edge from wearing down the insulation on the wire. My friend put some sort of putty around the wire he ran through the hole he drilled in the firewall of his Mitsu.

i drilled on the drivers side firewall...turned out pretty good

you can also run the wire underneath the car ... but your going to need to secure it very well and cover it with something as heat could easy get to it....theres firewall plugs in the trunk (underneath spare tire) in my 97 at least, so if you dont wanna drill, i suggest doing it this way

I was able to run my 8ga through the same hole where the wire for my alarm siren runs. It was drilled from the inside. Even though these are pics of my LS it should help you get an idea.
