Default DSP Wiring question

My AudioControl DM-810 finally arrived after a 3 month back order.
For those of you that have installed DSPs, did you pull the signal from the output of the head unit prior to the amp, or from the output after the amp?
I have a 2016 ES350 with the premium 10 speaker system (non ML)

The plan is to power all speakers off of an Alpine PDX-V9 amp (except the center channel)
Sub will be replaced and door/dash speaker will be replaced as determined after the DSP upgrade.

Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks. Once I got the DSP the instructions stated the same thing. I got the DSP wired into the amp yesterday. That was a lot of wires to cut and splice.

That dsp looks promising but using the pdx v9 your not utilizing the 10 ch output. Maybe get another pdx f4 and run your system fully active. It will sound a lot better.

Agreed. I added my PDX4.100 to the mix. Doesn't match but will be functional. This is about as far as I got last night. Will try to finish up next week.

Use the pdx 1.400 for all your mids and the v9 for all the tweets. That way it's easier to tweak later on. My setup is fully active. I'm using 2 jl hd6004, 1 hd 1200.1, helix dsp pro, 3 way hertz Mille front, 2 way Mille rears and 2'12s Mille subs. Let me know if u need any help. I'll be glad to help

Thanks, I appreciate it. This will be a much smaller scale setup than yours.

yours will sound really good also. Don't run the type r, the only alpine sub I find sounds best is the type r slim line.
