Using Dynaudio MD190 In A Free-Air Setup.
Anyone here using Dynaudio MD190 in a free air environment?? I want to take out my JL IB4 and install the MD190 in the stock location. So far, all the info I found on here says the MD190 COULD be used in a free-air setup but nobody mentioned that THEY ARE using it or HAD used it. I just want to get an idea on how well this sub would perform. Either that or I might go with one JL Audio 8W7 in a sealed box. Don't want the heavy heavy bass, but something a little more than what the 10" IB4 can produce.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I have just ordered the Dyn 240 MK II's and the matching 190 sub. I should have the install done in approx 2 weeks. I wiil let you know the results.
I had the same questions as you but just got fustrated and orded the sub anyways. Im sure I wont regret it.

Please do keep us informed. Also, what amp are you going to use to power the MD190? I might just stick with the Kicker KX 400.1 that I am using right now with the IB4 or get the JL Audio 250/1.
Thanks.
Thanks.
No prob will do. I will be using the JL 500/1 for the MW 190. I dont think I will need that much power but I already own the amp. I will also run the JL 300/2 amp to the from Dyn speakers. I hope it sounds good. Im waiting for Percy's book before I do the install.
