I have 2003 GS300 with premium stock.

I went to a store in my area for back up sensor installation....while I was wating, I asked about upgrade of audio system since my last Acura BOSE was way better than this lexus premium...
I know it's 200 watt vs 90 watt....
The tech told me that I can put two additional tweester for better high, (Rockford) and 8" amp200watt sub. in the trunk (bazooka) all for 400 installed. I found out that parts cost me $369 if I can get them by myself from internet... so I figure out it's good price.....but my concern is that is this will improve sound quality?
right now ....too flat....not clear high and no bass,,,,

Please let me know.....I know nothing about the audio system....( only I know is BOSE is GOOD)...

I am pretty sure that your system is out of tune. Why I know this? Because BOSE has absolutely nothing on any of the premium Lexus setups (Nak or ML). They are completely in different classes ML/Nak being way better. I am not sure that mentioned upgrades will make the system much better, all depends on how they install it.

 

Bose is for nissans, stick with the good stuff. bose home and bose car are two totally different critters. back in the day bose made a name for themselves with acoustimass and wave technology, but i really havent been impressed with the latest acomplishments from bose.

plus like retro said, bose is a downgrade from nak and ml.

 

BOSE can't even touch any lexus system. NO HIGHS, NO LOWS, BOSE!! I'd shoot myself if Lexus put that crap in their cars. if you want a truly better sounding system throw $1000-$1500 into some diamond, dynaudio or focal speakers with a clean amp. you'll be happy you did.
