Has anyone successfully hacked the instrument display between the tach and speedometer?

Think it would be pretty awesome to feed radar detector info to, as well as song info and maybe boost or g-forces. I know for older BMWs, for a while there was the StealthOne which fed Valentine One info to their display, is there a way to tap in that is similar?

The other alternative would be to replace the display with a custom one, but I wouldn't want to lose the trip info feature.
