Default Vaistech SL2i-UP Install Issue on 2007 RX 350

I have a 2007 RX 350 with Mark Levinson. A few weeks ago I installed a Vaistech SL2i-UP and the unit worked great. Then one day, I took my iPod out of the car to sync it with iTunes. In the meantime, I was using the radio and CD player. After my iPod synced with iTunes, I reconnected it to the SL2i-UP unit and it worked. However, now I cannot use AM, FM, or the CD player on the radio. I have disconnected the car battery and reconnected it to clear out any settings that may have gotten screwed up, but the tuner nor CD player function. I also cannot switch to the XM tuner. Does anyone have any insight as to what may be happening? Thanks.

have you tried disconnecting the sl2i-up harness (to the unit) and see if the radio works again?

I did. The CD player, AM, and FM tuners don't work even without the vaistech harness and module installed.

if the system doesn't play even without the vaistech connected, i hate to say, but it sounds like the head unit is having problems from my experience the vaistech is a passive device, in a sense that if there is addressing conflict, once you remove the brain the factory system should function.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a new ML headunit from Ebay. I'll see if that resolves my issue.

Just a follow up. I purchased a used ML head unit from EBay out of a 2008 Lexus RX 350 and the tuner and CD player works now. I have grounded the SL2i-UP to the chassis now as well. Not sure if the Vaistech caused the issue or if it was the head unit's time to go.
