Default Dimming Lights

i dont know if anyone has posted a thread relating to this before, if they have, excuse me. I have a 96 GS300 with a 600wattRMS Coustic Amplifier, 2 12" MTX 6000 subs, and a 1.0 Farat Lightning audio capacitor. When I run the amp unbridged, the lights(dashboard, markers, tails) to not blink, but when I bridge it (to get the proper bass notes) they blink like a christmas tree!! Does anyone else have this problem and how have they fixed it. I want to add TVs if I keep the car, and I dont want my alternator to burn up!

try upgrading your battery to an optima yellow top. then if that doesn't help upgrade your alternator.

you post that pic everytime you post a thread. lol. why don't you just put it in your sig/??? . lol

i dont know how to post any pic in my sig!! I was gonna ask, but I didnt want the guys on the board to laugh at me! I just brought a new battery over the summer, i hate to spend more on a yellow top. I thought about getting 2 digital caps (2.0farat), what do you think about that?

How much is a yellow top?
Altenator?

caps just put more drain on your system because now the alternator has to keep the caps charged too. try removing the cap see if that helps. yellow top can be around 150 or so. caps are good for bass thats spread out. but bass thats constant a cap is bad.

jmai, I never new that about caps! The yellow top may be an option, since 2new caps would be around 200 bucks! How much is a new altenator?

How do i attach a pic to my sig?
Do you have stereo stuff in your car? What model do have, and what stuff?

So you are saying that your caps do not eliminate dimming? What kind of caps are they?

I always had a cap in my system because i think it looks nice. its the center of my system setup. its between both my 12" subs. so it looks nice. it also has the voltage reading. Honestly my cap is more cosmetic than it working. I have a Rockford Fosgate Digital Cap.
