I bumped this post because there are a lot of questions about dash kits for the GS. As you can see you can do the single DIN or the Double. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried to match it to the Sport Design aluminum dash? If so, how was the finish?

Default The GS kit is from MetraOnline.com.

The (one and only one) GS kit that you can buy Autotoys.com is made from MetraOnline.com.
They are at www.metraonline.com.

That is what my bag says:

But I am not sure you can buy it directly from them and save a few dollars.
Maybe at least you can get some questions answered by them.

Got my kit yesterday. I had to shave the sides down to make it fit flush with the HVAC controls. It's being painted to match the SportDesign dash and I will have pics up shortly.

Buying it directly from them (if that's even possible) would cost more, a LOT more, as you would be paying full retail.

But why bother, our price is good...along with the speedy service!

Default DIY color match

BlackDiamond's comment about painting the HVAC vents and control panel along with the trim kit makes sense to me. Got a little carried away with it and painted my Pioneer P9 as well. Here's an available-light photo that gives you an idea of the potential here. Light fall-off top to bottom distorts the accuracy of the color, which is dead on. I pulled the various components apart where possible to avoid overspray. Taping will never be accurate enough for a keen eye. Only taping was on the P9. Even the little chrome-painted plastic accents on the vents are removable. This is an all day job -- mostly waiting for paint to dry. By the way, if you look closely you will notice variations in the paint between the stock components. They are not exact matches. Got the kit from Todd and turnaround was swift.

Haven't you all figured out that it's not "their" kit?? Plus they are gouging everyone on the price. Why even buy anything from them?

Gee I wonder why they dropped their price too.
