The kit looks pretty good. Now all I need is some Walnut veneer to match the wood trim and it's good to go. Definitely will have to place an order with these guys.

does anyone know the company that actually makes the kit though. I doubt that autotoys makes it themselves. I've also seen this kit on e-bay but it doesn't say who the manufacture is. For anyone who bought this kit does the bag say anything on it?

Please post pics! Also, do you have the Metra model number? I too went to the site but didn't see anything for my 99 GS400.

Thanks!

Default Fit Kit for LS400

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if the radio fit kit fits a 1997 LS400? I'm in the process of putting together my sound system right now and it's going to be a DIY.

Thanks!

Kenny

Looks good, but doesn't look like it totally matches the color of the plate around the temp controls.

Has anyone installed this yet?

That's Metra's new kit that was just released... how much are you guys paying for it?!?!

I'll check I'm sure it shouldn't be that much!!!!!

The fit is not bad, it's a typical aftermarket mounting kit...never as good as a nice custom job, but the time and money saved is more than good enough for most regular jobs.

Double Whoosh,

I understand that you primarily specialize in very high-end custom installs, but I think many of the "California Challenged" Lexus enthusiast here would love to see you altar your business model to our mutual benefits.

How about designing a complete upgrade kit including everything from Dash/trim kit & wiring harnesses on down the line. That would be cool!

Article is not Lexus Specific , but here is a link to a great article for layman on what goes into achieving outstanding sound in a car interior environment:

19 bucks delivered

The SC and GS are actually pretty different, so for the most part the kits are not interchangeable.

Does anybody know if this kit allows for double-din mounting?

Thanks,
