alright, i have a phoenix gold amp 1200.1 that was hooked up to the jlw7, but i am gettin rid of that crap, either two jl 10w6 or two 10 mtx 8000's, anybody with expernice from mtx's, haven't heard that much about them, or could i fit two 12's, it is going in the back of the new gs, i want to position the subs so the fire up into the cabin threw the stock 10 hole, anything would be very helpful

I would stay away from the 10w6s, 2 3/6ohm subs is not ideal for your setup. The MTXs are pretty good, if it were me I would go with Digital Designs or IDMAX. You can fit 2 12s in there if you want, but one DD or MAX would be enough for most people.

 

what u getting a new setup? whats wrong with the jl w7? i am going that route soon.

 

w7 is nice, but doesn't bump enough for me, it is a lot of name you are buyin, it is a great setup, but you can get two 10's or two 12's that would be louder, i just dont know what subs are good besides jl

 

Sirsomo there has pretty cool choices. I am surprised that you are not getting enough bump out of W7. They are awesome woofers. Rather then spending money on new speakers I would rather pay a good shop in your area to reinstall the sub and make it perform as you want it to. That sub can do it. Just make sure you get the best shop in your area.

 

The W7s SLAM!!! I've read a bunch of reviews and they are all great. I agree with retrodrive, get that setup looked at before ya spend a dime on anything else.

 

alright, the shop where i had it install did a real ****ty job, whenever i took rpm's over 5, the box would roll over in the back, quality hu, yea right, i am taking it somewhere today, thansk guys
