Default Stero problem ..need advice

I have a rockford 500s amp and a 12w6 in a sealed box in the trunk of my 94 sc300. All other speakers are stock (stock sub removed) and the head unit is the lexus premium. The problem is that when I listen to any song with decent bass, the sub rattles the CD changer so much that the song skips every 5 seconds. It is literally impossible for me to listen to a song with the bass turned up to a decent level. I really dont feel like having to pay $250 for a custom mounting kit to have a new head unit installed + the cost of a decent head unit. Is there anyway to move the CD changer loaction to the inside of the car? Is there any type of box I could build around, and dynomat, the changer to keep the vibration off of it?

Any sugestions?

Thanks!

tommym,

First suggestion is to post this in the proper forum for your best chance of getting a reply. I will move it for you to the electronics area.

Second, your could isolate the changer from its metal to body mounting using some foam. By allowing the changer to sit on a piece of foam, then securing it some type of strapping that isn't rigid, and then finally surrounding the upper portion with a foam wrapping, I think it would solve your problem.
