Default A2DP Bluetooth 4.0 with 2007 ML ??'s

I am trying to find a way to pair my Samsung Note 2 with my 2007 GS430 with ML audio system. I do not have an aux input, and no automatic way included in the ML to play music by bluetooth.

I do have a 30 pin Ipod cable in the glovebox. I have heard of people adding an A2DP receiver on the end of the 30 pin cable, and most say it works nicely. I have found a few possible options for this.

I have two questions:

1) My Note 2 is a Bluetooth vs 4.0 device. Will it pair well with a 2.0 A2DP receiver?

2) What is the current BEST bluetooth A2DP receiver?

A Bluetooth receiver that seems to get especially good reviews and the one I would buy if I was going to convert my 3.5mm aux-in to Bluetooth A2DP is the "BlackBerry Bluetooth Audio Music Gateway ASY-16130-001". Google the model number as there is an older less expensive version that does not get as good reviews.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen that one, and it does have good reviews. The problem is I need one that plugs into a 30 pin Ipod cable. My 2007 ML system doesn't have an AUX input or 3.5mm jack.

Is this forum dead? Doesn't anybody care to respond to these questions?

Your iPod cable has "intelligence" in that iPod song titles and play lists can be displayed on the navigation screen. An aux-in (3.5mm jack) has no intelligence.

I'm not clear on what you mean by "My 2007 ML system doesn't have an AUX input or 3.5mm jack" since to me both refer to a 3.5mm jack. Do you really mean "USB or 3.5mm jack"?

There are several makers of interfaces but the most popular has to be http://www.vaistech.com/site/home.php

You might contact VAIS to discuss your needs. Their aux-in kit is only $150 but I don't know if that would allow you to keep your iPod interface assuming that you want to. The VAIS people should know.

I don't need or want to keep the ipod interface. I want a GOOD A2DP bluetooth receiver that plugs into the ipod cable. I've seen some out there, I was just hoping to hear from some here as to what they like the best.

Did the people you heard about doing this kind of thing actually successfully stream audio from an Android phone via a Bluetooth receiver hooked to a 30-pin connector on a Lexus iPod interface?

If not, I suggest visit a local audio shop and have them demo one for you in your car.

If you want reviews of 30-pin adapters and Bluetooth receivers, there are hundreds/thousands on Amazon.com.
