Sorry if this has been covered already, but I am an audio noob.

I have a Non-ML/Non-nav 2001 ls430. Installed 2-12's in the trunk with a monoblock amp (ported box, OEM headunit. Uses crossover from OEM sub). Hit the higher frequencies hard, but struggles with the low notes.

I am wondering if installing a head unit (beatsonic kit) will assist me in hitting the lower notes. I know I will have more control in terms of tuning, but is the sub/amp combo/box a huge limitation?
