Default suggestions welcome

hey guys, I am having trouble thinking about what to do. My sound system is bone stock right now. I have 2 choices on what to do right now and i was wondering if I could get you all's inputs and suggestions
I have 2 choices
1. Kenwood kvt-911 touchscreen in dash dvd and the kenwood music keg and owe a lil money
2. 2 12 JL audio subs, amp, custom installation by taking out the spare tire and putting the subs there and using fiberglass, and a cheap deck to replace the stock deck

I'd like to choose one of these soon and have it all done before i go back to school. Any suggestions?

Thanks

#1. This is a slick headunit with all the features and the music keg is very handy. No doubt that you would have a blast with this unit. However, if you go into debt spending the $3000 for that setup, then you will be wishing you didn't run it with the stock speakers.

#2. This is a better upgrade to do now and benefit. Then do the new headunit later. This way you benefit from the sound improvement while doing the ground work toward the headunit upgrade later.

i would choose number 1. i'm not really sure what car you have but on my car, the aftermarket headunit did not have enough power to push the stock speakers. so i had to put in an amp. the stock speakers are like 2 ohms i believe and they take a lot of power.

just get number 1. forget the music keg and get an amp and maybe some speakers first. do subs last if moeny is tight
