Default sub's in the deck?

I was thinking about putting two 12's in addition to the stock sub in the rear deck of my 91Ls. I really rather do that than a box because I don't want to wastse the space plus I heard that the music sound better when the sub's are in the deck.

Does anybody have any info on this subject be it positive or negative. I also would like to here some suggestions on how to prepare the deck so I can bolt the speakers on it. I want to try and mount them from the bottom to keep them out of site so I don't have people trying to rob my car. any feedback anybody can give me is very helpful! thanks!!

The big question you need to ask is if you really want to start chopping up your car. I would just put a box in the trunk because the benefits of the install you have in mind are not worth the cost. It sounds like you want to run the subs freeair which is ok, but a good box (maybe with a port in the deck) would probably end up sounding better. There is a lot more to this discussion, just wanted to add a few things to try to convince you not to cut up your car.

If you want to sell your car afterwards, do NOT cut the deck. While it did not noticeably affect anything in my case, your prospective buyer would freak out.
