Just found out that Metra has a new face plate/dash kit for the IS300. Here's the details from www.metraonline.com:

Our engineers have created a design that will work great for any head unit combination available with a factory-installed look. This kit allows you to install a DIN or ISO DIN unit with an under radio pocket. Or install two ISO mount units, or two DIN units or a double DIN unit. With all of the possibilities with this kit you can't go wrong. Eliminate the need to build this kit yourself."

I asked Metra and they do not have any plans to make a kit for the GS 300/400/430.

Can anyone tell me what the measurements are for the stock IS300 faceplate, I would like to know if the Metra kit can be easily modified to fit the GS?

 

The only problem is that the factory radio cups under at the bottom leaving a huge gap at the bottom if you do not do it right. It also want look as good if you don't paint it.
