I am new to the forum. Does anyone know who makes the backup camera for Lexus?

I own and have owned many Lexus vehicles over the last 20 yrs but because I have a large boat had to add an Infiniti QX to our fleet last year to pull it. I am very disappointed in the quality of it's backup camera image compared to any Lexus of the same 2011 year. The cameras externally look identical in shape. What I'm trying to figure out is if I can buy a camera from Lexus and have it installed in my QX. Thanks.

 

i believe the cameras on the Lexus is a CMOS style where the Infiniti uses a CCD style. Swapping out cameras shouldn't be a problem. But the problem you'll run into is finding the video signal wires, and power. some cameras use 12 volts others are around 4-6 volts.
