Default need help with aftermarket HU install

lexus second gen gs300

headunit - pioneer avh2400bt
harness - from crutchfield

Power doesnt turn on

checked the harness wiring with the speaker wires everything matches up






where does the plug at the bottom of the picture go?

I don't think the harness matches up behind the dash. The constant (yellow on your new HU connects to the blue w/yellow wire in the small harness, and the ACC (red on your new HU connects to the grey wire on the same harness as the blue/yellow wire. Then you have to bypass the factory amplifier. That extra cord with the antenna I left it out and my radio works just fine so im guessing it has no use on the aftermarket deck.

thanks for the reply! i cant seem to find the grey wire your talking about. unless im color blind haha
but i think that might be my problem. cause where the red wire from the new hu goes there is no wire running to the attachment for the old harness.

the yellow wire on the new hu is matching up with the blue and yellow


i moved the two connections from the factory amp around to the back of the headunit as shown in the pictures.

yup it was the grey wire! i took it from the factory headunit connection and it works! thanks man!

Glad you got it the wiring was a big curveball on the install as I ended up not using my crutchfield harness. Nice looking install!! I went with the 4400 on mines this years line of pioneer units are excellent

Thinking of doing the factory sub replacement next.. Did you replace your amp speakers and sub as well?

Yea I replaced everything in my setup. I made a post on it may still be on the 1st page in this forum. I have my replacement sub sitting in my living room I been procrastinating on finishing lol but ill have the finished product up by next week
