Just a question,

Does the entire back hatch rattle or is it the license plate hitting the hatch?

I know the license plate is held on by two screws on the top portion, but the bottom portion is just dangling there and resting on some soft foam pads behind it. When those foam pads get old and wet they lose their 'foaminess' and just shrink over time (mine were non existent when I checked). Then the license plate hits the back hatch when there is vibration in the car.

I also have the gold plated license plate from from the dealer on too. That adds to the rattles. it rattles agaisnt the license plate which rattles against the back hatch. I again foamed the sucker. Its doing better.
