Hi , i have recieved the ML+ and i am planning to install it soon , so i am going throw the documents that came with the unit to figure out the intallation process and that usage.

Few questions that i could not answer so far

A) how is the ipod is going to be connected to the unit to play songs ( i think but the usb but i want to confirm) and if the answer is yes throw usb, can i use that usb port to copy files from a friend in case i need to.?
B) how the ipod is going to be connected to play video ( i think by Source 1)
C) i am planning to install HDD , so do i need to creat a specific forlder in the HDD to past all the music and movies that i would like to play in the ML+
D) Do i need to install AV-2 and AV-3 cables also.?

i would appreciate the help

Thanks bye

a) yes usb port with the ipod usb cable. yes you can use the same port to copy files with usb stick drives. you need to implement command list. it's in the manual
b) source 1 component, and you need to get the apple component video cable, which has the usb as well
c) yes you can do that, you will need to study the manual further on what you want to do
d) not necessarily

you can check with them, probably all laptop older drives with parallel interface are ok, but you just want to make sure they are good under heat (which is pretty hot) and especially your area

Finally i got my ML+ installed, things are good with the following exceptions

A) The rear view camera is not showing, when i put the gear in reverse the screen goes blank and stayes even if i shift the gear to Drive, i currently have the camera cable connected to the back of the screen, i went throw the documents , it says that AV-2 is reserved for the camera but it does not specify if i should connect it directly to the ML+, i still have to check if the camera cable is compatible.

B) IPOD classic does not get recognized, BUT IPHONE works just fine with ML+ .

a) i am not 100% familiar with the rear view camera. this is not the factory rear view camera you are talking about? or is it aftermarket? if so, i would think you need to connect it to ML+?

b) regular ipod does not play at all? even in mp3 emulation mode?

umm, why did you get the mlp-10? in the application guide i sent you you should get the mlp-12 right? they all work different.

if you want the graphical ipod mode, you need ipod touch or iphone with ios4 (or above). i know the new ipod nano works too. but classic and older ipod, you can only use the mp3 emulation mode
