Lost on install

So I have a component set and i am lost on what to do with the crossover! Do I need to use it or can the stock amp split the signal

aftermarket? factory?

if aftermarket components - yes the crossover is necessary. the output on the crossover goes to the aftermarket tweeter and driver. and the input is the signal from the OEM input.
