99 RX300 w/Nakamichi and ipod integration
OK, before i get a bunch of posts saying do a search, I did, for like 3 hours, but did not see what I was looking for. I saw and read great write ups on the aux input, but I also saw that the 99 RX caused some issues due to wires not matching up on the CD changer. What i have come down to is I basically need to do either the isimple route, Or i saw someone mentioned the JL Audio Clean Sweep switch which also looked good, but I could not figure out how you would get to it from the head unit. Anyway, the JL clean sweep would be my preference, but I need more info. Not having the Nakamichi would make life so much easier. Any and all imput is as always appreciated.
There is a company in a state next door to you who has been adding aux-in to older Lexus radios including Nakamichi and to most of the used radios they sell on eBay: http://factoryradioservice.com/page.html?id=1

Let me know if you decide to go with the aux mod right on the stereo system. I've never heard of that being done to an RX300 stereo. I've seen it on other cars, but never to the RX. If it works, I may think about doing it depending on how the audio quality is. Even though I already have the iSimple hooked up, it's nice to have another aux input.
