I've got a 93 sc400. It has a pioneer radio, factory amp located under the radio and also a pioneer amp located underneath where the cd changer would go (cd changer is missing) I thought I'm supposed to have a seperate sub amp located between the sub and one of the rear speakers? what is this other amp doing in the factory NAK amp spot? amp in trunk is model number 86280-24141. Reason I ask is my rear speakers and sub don't work. I tested the sub at the sub with a double a battery. It works. the rear deck speakers do not. But still, whats with the amp? any answers will be much appreciated!

 

try unplugging the bad speakers(powering the system off then back on) an see if audio returns..pioneer is famous for shortened speaker lead protection. cutting power to the amp w/the offending leads...also multiple amps have been used in vehicles before (BOSE is famous for this) u could have 1 for front an 1 for rear...

 

the 4 chaanel door and shelf speaker amp is below the cd changer. the part number you gave is a 4 channel amp. there is no amp below the radio in any sc400 . the non cd changer sc400 has 4 channel amp inside the radio and 1 channel sub amp below the cd changer, they moved sub amp to under the package shelf near sub in your model. with factory changer.
