Stock oem amplifier question
Anybody know how many watts the stock oem speaker and sub amplifier push out? I have a 98 stock pioneer system and the a couple of the speakers are going out so its time to get new ones. Ive searched on the forums, Google and the pioneer website for the specs and come up with nothing. I just want to upgrade the speakers, dont need a system that rattles the block. I just dont want to waste money and get speakers that are going to be underpowered.

You don't like the model of Lexus you are asking about. Do you want coaxial or component speakers? For example, my 07 ES-350 is now running Phoenix Gold component speakers in the front doors and dash. The crossover is inside the dash, under the tweeters. The factory amp powers then with no problem.

I was able to find a lot of specs from Toyota's web site https://techinfo.toyota.com - I had to subscribe for 2 days - $15.
Not sure if it'd have specs for a 13 year old model though.
On another note, in my knowledge, the stock systems at most are 25W RMS per channel - you should be safe buying anything above it.
Please also keep in mind -
1. higher wattage of speakers doesn't necessarily mean higher price all the time
2. unless there's huge difference between wattage of amp and wattage of speakers, the speakers will not be "underpowered".
