I have a 08 base system no nave or Levinson I want to see what people have done if anything also my options I want to keep the stock headunit and replace all speakers and add a W7 12 sub maybe a total of 800 watts nothing serious..

My experience
When I started looking for information on upgrading the audio on my HS250h, I couldn't find anything either. Here's what I'd recommend -
1. Find the specification of system and the speakers - you could go to local Best Buy and have them dig this out for you. In my case, this wasn't easily available and I went to Toyota's Technical Information System - subscribed for 2 days (for $15) and downloaded a ton of materials.
2. I also didn't want to mess with my headunit - not an option due to all navi and climate control options associated with it. I decided to go for a signal processor unit and ended up with JBL MS-8 (MSRP $799, but I found it for a lot cheaper).
3. Find replacement speakers and factory ones replaced. In my case, it made a ton of difference.
The whole exercise took me more than 3 months from research to implementation and cost me almost a grand but it was well worth it.
Note: My advice - replace you speakers first and then evaluate if you want more - chances are it'll be sufficient.
