Yep, got it. Since your car (non lexus) has 6.5 inch and 1 inch components, a good drop in would be the Diamond Hex series. Skip MBQ as from my experience, the treble can get harsh at times. But, listen before you buy.

Now if you're after some really accurate SQ, go for the Dynaudio System 220 MK II. The System 240 uses 7 inch midwoofers while the 220 uses a 5 3/4 midwoofer. If you can fabricate something larger, go with the larger midwoofer.

Now how about adding a sub. I was thinking 2 12s but I don't know if that will be over kill. I want the music to sound good but not just boom boom boom. Maybe if at a normal volume its good but if i turn it up there will be that kick. Also how about some Amps?? Thanks sorry about this being non lexus.

Amps...all out SQ - McIntosh. Can't think of any better that will perform in the "real life" test. Not even Brax will do it despite their advertisements. But, Brax is an EXCELLENT amp but it's not McIntosh.

Single sub will do fine if you're after SQ, otherwise the double subs may drown out the vocals. Dynaudio for me is a good bet on the subs.

All right, one last thing. What do I need to look for on the amp, Channels, Wats etc confuse me. Should I have the sub in a box or just drop it in?? Thanks.

You'll get the best sound with a box, though "infinite baffle" (without box) sounds good too. All depends on what you want.

Since you're going all out, 6 channel amp will do nicely.

MC4000M 300x2 + 100x4. 4000 msrp.
MC440M 50x4 + 100x2 1800 msrp
MC440 (no M designation) 50x4 + 100x2 = 1500 msrp. No meters.

There were also a few newer types, but can't recall them.
