Subs cuts off with mids up high
A little info
08 IS 250
NonML Nav
1 12w7
JL 1000/1v2
4AWG ground/power
Pac 2 channel LOC tapped into the stock amp sub wires
Gain/Input Sens - Turn up a little past half way (I set it to 54.4v using a DMM with a 50hz sine wave in the cd player)
Everything else on the amp I set it according to JL via http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/557.pdf
Treble - max
Bass - all the way down
Ok, here's the problem. With the mids maxed out and the volume up to about 40, the sub cuts out but the amp is still on with the green LED on. If I turn the mids down about 2 bars and the volume still at 40, it doesn't give me a problem. I ran a kicker amp before my JL's came in and everything was fine, it wasn't until I hooked up the new JL amp when the problems started. I double checked the ground already and everything seem fine there. I'm at a lost and was wondering if anyone would know what it could be. Thanks
