measurement software
>Wonder if there's any affordable MLSSA gear out there.
Thought this was worth a new thread.
There's a list of free speaker measurement software at:
http://www.wssh.net/~wattsup/audio/
Some of it looks quite good. It includes several FFT measurement programs (using your PC soundcard), realtime spectrum analyzers, and box design programs. I haven't tried any of them personally and would not expect them to be as good as the expensive commercial programs.
Still, definitely worth a look. Perhaps anyone trying them out could post their comments.

However, in the list there is a freeware program called winisdbeta - a nice little box design program with a friendly interface, which calculates sealed, reflex, isobaric, 4th and 6th order boxes. It took me about two minutes to figure it out and design a 6th order bandpass.
It contains quite a decent driver library but you can also enter the parameters for any other driver. This is by far the best freeware box design program I've seen and comes pretty close to what you might get in a commercial program. Recommended.
