Default Double din install SC400 Nak. Help!

Im working on my 1998 Sc400 with nakamichi audio. I purchased a double din stereo with metra face kit and metra harness like this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1207081...s.html?tp=2977. Realizing the sub is not working, i do some searching here and according to raine's post https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...b-working.html i still could not get the sub to work. Its a 5 channel oem nakamichi amp. Anyone with a clue?

I got the same issue with exact same car. I was installing an Alpine IDA-X305s using same Metra Harness kit 70-8112 with the RCAs. I thought that wire harness would allow the new headunit to work with the factory Naka amp like the sock headunit but nope. So I put my stock Naka headunit back in because I got so much more power and sound from it versus the Alpine HU. Anyone else have any input as to use a new HU and retain use of thr factory Naka Main amo and Sub amp?

I had a hell of a time with my car and I just bridged two channels off a 60X4 to the sub. Its a 5 ohm sub so your amp will be fine. You can pickup a 150 watt amp pretty easy and make sure you tune it to where you dont blow the sub.
