Default installing subs and head unit in 98 gs400..need help!

Hey everyone I'm new to the club lexus website but anyways I'm installing a kenwood head unit and 2 12inch 4 ohm solo barics 750rms with a kicker mono d 1500 watt amp and 4 gauge amp installation kit. Also getting a boss 10 cap but I was wondering what else I will need for the complete installation since I don't have much of a clue what I'm doing that's why my bro in law is helpin me with this. If anybody could give me some advice I'd appreciate it. And if you could possibly give me a short walkthrough on how we do this because even he is kinda unsure on how its done with a CD changer in the glove box being that he's never done one like the gs. Tanks everybody in advance.

I'd do a big 3 upgrade before a cap.

Sundown SA12's 2 @ $195 = $390 - http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...SA%252d12.html
Sundown SAZ-1500D - $525 - http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...1500D-v.2.html

Google "big 3 wiring" and you will get 300,000 plus hits along with youtube tutorial videos. Price depends on wire size. 4ga is the minimum recommended size. People go as large at 0 ga.

I linked to subs and an amp that is as good if not better than the Kicker brand. Service is definitely better. If you have an issue, you can easily contact the owner for help.

Is it true that the gs400 doesn't have a wiring harness available? If so can somebody post a link to it and if not what has to be done to install an after market head unit?

Please utilize the "search" function. You are a member here, it should work for you. There are countless threads about this in this forum and the 2GS forum.

I would also recommend looking at the installation guide for the amp and make sure you have a large enough power wire for the the amp....4 gauge for a 1500 watt amp seems a little on the weak side. The guide will tell you the recommended gauge you need for it.
