Alright so my birthday is coming up, Im turning 17 and I was wondering, does anyone here have the Escort 9500ix radar detector? I'm planning to buy it for my birthday and I wanted to hear from other people if its worth the money! 500$!!

If you can tell me the pros and cons of the device that would be awesome! Thanks!

I love mine; There are some threads in the general 2IS forums already if you want to search. I almost went with the Valentine One (which is also a great detector), but the false alarms were killer (and I didn't want to exclude entire bands). The cool thing with the 9500ix is that it has GPS so if detects the same false signal it filters it out. It's not perfect, but it's one of the best detectors on the market. Having said that, Valentine One was my second choice.

Its well worth it, i have minie a yr now, and register and subscribed so u can get up date every week..... and u can tape wires to your rear view mirror to get power and get bracket ... you're set the best radar u can get....

 

I'm going to pick one up off eBay because its cheaper! Hopefully its as good as it sounds!
