Default Car camcorder

There are different situations on road. Many thing could happen..
Start to watch the video from 45 sec.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkmtXBQR_bc
My bad translation of this tragic accident:
(Translation of comment on Youtube)

"No fault could be found guilty
Describe in brief ... Man 2 days in intensive care unit has been transferred to the trauma (traumatic brain ..., 8 broken ribs + broken teeth), the doctor said the danger had passed, "will live" ... The driver of VAZ-2115 (which beat the guy) and his girlfriend said to investigator (Policeman) that it was me who hit him on the road... there were no witnesses ... In general, my "Car Camcorder" saved me from the "criminal case"... Words of policeman - "you lucky enough that you have a "car video registrator" , otherwise .....". The result: Criminal case is got on the person who beat the guy."

Now I'm started to think about such "car camcorder" !

Requirements:
1. It must be compact and easy to install\uninstall

(everywhere junkies which can break glass and steal everything)
2. It must be HD video quality.

Who has such camcorders in your car, please post your short review.
Examples of work and a photo are welcomed.

I'll start first... for example, how look this one in Lexus RX300:

And this is a sample video..
* exactly the same camcorder in the same car!

Small crash in the end. This video helped Lexus-Owner to proof that he is not guilty in accident. The video was just showed to Police when they arrived.

I'm not sure which one is better too!
There are tonns of them on e-bay. You can see the same model from 50$ to 250$. Some of them - fake HD quality - I suppose.

Yea I would hate to buy a mid price range unit... $150 and then realize its just as good as a $50. If anyone has any experience with these please post! Im going to be searching youtube to see anyone with these and ask what they used.... so stay tuned. By the RPG in the trunk is a nice touch, I just got some 12's.

I have a GoPro on my bike mounted to the tank in case I ever need to defend myself or in case of accident. I have been meaning to get it set up in the car so that it sits on the rear deck passenger side and can see the gauges and out the front window.

Do you mind letting us know how much you paid and where you got it?

The camera is the same in each package, they just come with different mounting hardware. These are hugely popular for motorcycles due to the excellent picture and sound quality as well as the long battery life since most people do not run power up to it on the bikes. It is all-weather and waterproof also, even has a battery heater so it doesn't get cold.

It might not be the best for a car, since the needs are a little different. I just figured I'd try it in the car since I already have it. If I were buying one specifically for the car, I think I'd want one that can turn itself on and off automatically, which I don't think the GoPro is capable of. Depends on where you put it though... If you have it up front, it wouldn't matter because it would be right there and you could turn it on and off by hand.

It will keep running when plugged in, though, so you could just leave it on and have it set to overwrite all the time if you aren't worried about the battery draining over time. I don't know how big of SD cards are available, but a 32gb is good for like 2-3 hours I think. I've never used it for long enough to know when it runs out.

This video for quality demonstration >

* Look at license plates.

And this is just how I met suddenly Lexus GS ^_^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVjazpPKjeM
Red license number means "diplomatic" car. Cops can't stop such cars.
А car with diplomatic license plates can not be held responsible for violations of traffic rules

Carcam has 12V input. So I will make wire come from sunvisor, from the lighting of sunvisor. Will be no ugly wire as in pics.
