Hi everyone!
I hope someone can help out here. I have just bought a Toyota Altezza (is200) imported from Japan.
Is there any way to make the navigation system work in the UK?
I have the flip up screen with joystick control between front seats. When Japanese CD is inserted the system still works but with map of Japan!
Have tried CD from UK car and nothing happens.
Any advice will be appreciated!

 

I too want to import my GS430 from Canada to Taiwan, but i heard the software might not work, so did you try putting the UK version of the navigation software and see if it works??

is your navigation stock??

 

There is no response from the system when I loaded the UK software

 

I have the same problem.
I imported a Toyota Aristo Vertex from Japan and the stock system does not work (No radio/TV or navigation!)

I made extensive reaserch on this and at the end I am going to replace the navigation system.

The plan is to buy a navigation system unit (with a TV tuner) and fit it to the existing screen in the car saving £££. I am buying the Panasonic DV-2000 (£930).

I will update you when I install it.
