I have the same problem.
I imported a Toyota Aristo Vertex from Japan and the stock system does not work (No radio/TV or navigation!)
I made extensive reaserch on this and at the end I am going to replace the navigation system.
The plan is to buy a navigation system unit (with a TV tuner) and fit it to the existing screen in the car saving £££. I am buying the Panasonic DV-2000 (£930).
I will update you when I install it.
