Default looking for amp

Anybody know where I can get a Nakamichi amp model 86280-24120 for a '92 SC 400? Or does anyone know if I can buy an after market amp and connect it to the existing Nakamichi radio/cd system w/o having a Electrical Engineering degree??

no factory amps are tuned to factory specs it will over power the system and blow out your speakers.

I have an aftermarket amp hooked up to the oem pioneer system and no issues. I actually run the oem radio to the oem amp to power the door speakers and then I have a converter on the lead that would go from the oem amp to the factory sub. The converted signal goes into a 2 channel amp that i use to power the sub.

I'm thinking you meant no aftermarket amps are tuned to factory specs.

OP: I don't believe the Nak used the CAN-BUS system, but it's entirely possible. If not, you can use LOC's to get the signal to aftermarket products, but as the above poster said, blowing out the speakers is likely - especially nearly 20 year old speakers.
