1997 Lexus HU Upgrade Antenna Problem
1997 LS400 without Nak new HU with factory amp
Has anyone got their antenna to work properly? I wired the Black/Red wire from the C12 (Ant+) and it will go up but it stops at 30” (the FM band height). I am getting poor reception for AM. I believe this may be the problem.
Since my new HU (Pioneer P5200HD) does not have separate leads for FM and AM antenna, I am guessing that I will have to choose one height. I want to try it on the fully extended setting before I make a decision.
Does anyone know the purpose of leads C4 (Ant A) and C13 (Ant B)? I’d like to know if there is another solution before I try connecting the Power Antenna lead from the HU to each of them to see what happens.
