Default A little help from the audio guys please!

Ok so I have a 2001 GS300 and a HUGEEEEE box in my trunk right now with 2 12" Memphis Mojo's in it.... Theres this guy on ebay who sells some custom boxes for the GS (http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Lexus-GS-...item3ca6e0f8e0) Anyway the box specs say .91 cubic ft per chamber.... I know thats really small and my Mojos require at least 2.5 cu ft per chamber.... I dont know that much aout audio but thats a big difference... can I get away putting those subs in there without damaging the subs??? Thanks in advance for any help...

I think sealed box displacement is usually spec'd lower than ported box displacement for most speakers...you may wanna verify the sealed displacement spec for yours.

Well, if each sub requires 2.5 cf. to perform well then that's what you gotta get. You can get away with a smaller enclosure by using polyfil but even then it's not ideal. I'd change the subs to one that's efficient and requires a smaller enclosure.

Your subs should have roughly 2.5 cubic feet for a ported enclosure. Sealed requirement is between .80 and 1.0 cubic feet.
