Default New Dynaudio Tweeter MD330D, anyone tried those set before?

Hello fellow Lexus fans,

I saw a new set of flagship tweeters MD330D were announced on Dynaudio's web page. I realize that MD330D is related to their premium home series Esotar T330D.

Has anyone ever tried these set out yet? How is the performance? Does it need to be on-axis for good sounding like the T330D? Any suggestion on installation location?

Thanks for any comments....

I have a set of the T330D's at home and they're INCREDIBLE. No harshness at all, not even a hint of any roughness. Even if they're a bit of axis (30 degrees), they still sound extremely good. With most tweeters I find a metallic sound (Infinity EMIT, Titanium) or dullness (kevlar tweeters, most soft domes) to them, as if they're not reproducing the dynamics correctly. You'll pretty much have ZERO compromise in terms of sonics with the T330D's.

As for the MD330Ds, you should get the same performance. It looks like the ony thing they changed is the adhesive formulation. Dispersion appears to be the same as the T330D home tweeter. I'll have to contact Mike at Dynaudio (marketing rep) about the new driver for more info though.

Now the only rough part is getting a tweeter THIS HUGE installed in the GS. It's about the same size as they're 5 3/4 inch midwoofer!
