The CD player in my '98 GS400 usually cuts out, skips, etc, even with brand-new CDs. (I've tried cleaning it.)

My wife's car, a '00 RX300, has a perfectly good CD changer in it that's rarely used...

Does anyone know if these could be swapped?

 

the plugs are different. es300 has large 12 pin and gs small 10 pin so not plug in and play. a 12 pin 10 pin adaptor connector would work not commercially avail. opening changer up and switch the electronics with the plugs would work. who knows you may have the skills to do it so i mentioned it. email if want info how to do it. egusman@woh.rr.com
