CD changer not working.
Bought my 98 GS3 a few weeks ago. Cd changer was working perfectly fine. Now unresponsive.
The cartridge is in the changer, but the doors are down, so ther cartridge itself is visible inside the changer. It won't eject the cartridge or play the cd's. Did I insert the cartridge wrong? I can read LEXUS on the cartridge itself, should it be upside down?

Could be there is no power coming in to the changer. Try and hear if it makes any mechanical noise when you try and eject it or play it. I would also check for any blowned fuses.

Mine was dead when I bought my 99 gs400. Lexus wants $500 and the core. I found a repair shop in NJ to completely rebuild for $300. Has been working great ever since.
The 6 cd changer in the glove box is the part I'm talking about.
