I own a v1 as well. It's accurate, but it detects metal detectors, and sensors in front of walgreens, rite aid, etc. I wish they came out with one that doens't detect unnecessary radars.

false alarms imho make radar detectors worthless because you end up just ignoring it
so true...

cuz i got a ticket for doing exactly that, ignoring it. not from those loud obnoxious alarms, but the speed trap kinda thing, two short blips. i ignored it. got a ticket.

I've never had a radar detector before. I was amazed when looking at youtube videos of how some detectors give off false alarms because of door sensors and I guess metal detectors in the front of stores.

Although its my first and only radar ever, i just picked a v1 off craigslist for $250 (most up to date version) and i love it. Gives you a pretty far heads up about the cops if their radar guns are on (of course laser detectors are another story). There are a lot of false alarms, but i can usually tell they are due to the intensity meter on the detector (weak signal means its nothing to worry about).

Just my 2-cents. Im sure you'll enjoy any of your options.

Had the V1 but has way too much false alarm. Then moved to 9500i and have no complaints.

I love my v1. It's saved my *** numerous times and has probably paid for itself 10x over. It does have a lot of false alarms. The GPS option sounds nice, wish the V1 had that feature.

I also got a v1 and i love how it has the arrows n detects very far. As far as the false alarms, couldnt you tell whats false and whats real? cause the real has a distinct tone and i got used to it.
