Exclamation ML DVD SWAP / LCD's

I have purchased an ML DVD/CD player from a guy and a custom harness so my NON-ML is now ML/DVD..besides the hacks and custom harness for DVD play on the stock NON-ML nav i was trying to figure out how i would run connection to the headrest LCD's that i might be purchasing depending on what i can find. a great audio/video shop by me said i was better off just running a dvd player to the LCDs but i want the REAL DEAL here haha. They said unless you find something online or in forums about tapping into something there's only one way n it's expensivee. there's no output on the NAV obviously and everything made for the damn thing aftermarket is all for input..well the ML DVD is going to be the new input, but as for output theres a part they need to get custom made which takes 2-3 weeks and is 800-900$ to create an output on the stock NAV..does anyone at all, know if this can all be done without the part.. aka tapping into something?! thanks in advance, might have to put project on hold if i need that part, i really don't feel like spending another 1000$ on something i thought in total would be 1000$ haha.

I am interested in the same thing as to whether you can send the ML DVD output to rear head rest screens- let me know what you find out.

Me too but I may go a diff route since I do not have a ML player yet. I do have my old aftermarket navi from my previous car and I can convert that to a dvd player. If that is an easier route than getting ML and it plays on Navi and other screens then I may do that.

Keep us updated.

I have the ML and love it with the Nav DVD override, but am curious as to being able to port the video to a couple of head rest screens for the rear.
