Sounds like you had the battery connected while doing the work an you shorted something. Check the head unit fuse first since you already know where it is and you said you went through the car fuses.

Ok well I have a 95 sc400 with the Nak system. I'm thinking that I'll just be running the speakers from the radio itself and use the sub amp to run the sub. All of my speakers work with the metra kit, except for my rears (which I replaced, and they didnt work with the stock system OR with the new system.) My sub barely works and I need to crank it way up to get it loud. So to get total use of my aftermarket unit, should I just run the wires straight up? I want to hear my stereo!

Then they all don't work

Remember, the OEM head unit and OEM amplifiers are separate - so to get to the main speakers without rewiring the doors etc. you'd have to be able to connect to the OEM speaker wires after the OEM amp (bypass), or you'll probably hear nothing, or very little.

sorry for the late feedback the write up worked perfect did everything set by set only problem is i didn't want to run short of wires so i ran to much and now have a little nest of wires in the trunk since i was to tired to cut them down to size.

i'll call that leaving work to do when i get bored..

thanks raine

Good to hear about your buddy.

About your Alpine, I'm gonna guess that those red/white "holes" are the RCAs. Check the Alpine wiring diagram, it should say RCA.

The Kenwood I have used a separate harness for the RCAs, but essentially it's the same thing.

Something had to have been powering the factory subwoofer. If you can't find the sub amp then the only way you can still have the sub working would be to install an aftermarket amp... but then that would require an aftermarket sub as well.

If you could trace those wires you should find the sub amp... unless it was built into the main amp (?)
