2002 GS Headunit help
I am Beete, an installer for Zen Motors, I have been in the industry for 6 years. I am looking for some help with a GS factory amp integration. The customer would rather not bypass the amp, loose the factory sub.
Metra recomends the TYTO-01, when that didn't work I tried the 70-8113. both harness have remote turn on but there is not a pin in the factory harness at that location.
There are two wires in the middle of the factory harness with 2.4v on each, i am thinking a data bus connection.
The funny thing is that when i first install the aftermarket radio, using the 8113, I can get it to play for about two minutes with only the front RCAs plugged in. Plugging in one of the rear RCAs shorts that side o the car. Then after two minutes the system dies. If I plug the factory radio in for a few minutes, then swap in the after market, I get another 2 minutes.
Am I doomed to an amp bypass or is there a trick? Tried searching no luck.
