Default Velodyne mounting suggestions?

Well Gang, I'm going to mount my Velodyne next week during the spring break. Here's the setup:
10" Velo mounted on a 3/4" mdf plate bolted underneath the rear deck and firing through the 8" factory sub opening. Since the board will not fit perfectly flush with the rear deck (not even close), I'm using 3" thick acoustic foam as a gasket between the board and the rear deck. The factory sub grille and stop light will be reinstalled afterwards. I'm also going to add about 4-5 layers of Raam mat to the rear deck and the rest of the car while I'm at it. Is there anything else you audio gurus recommend that I do? I'm going to sound deaden the 3rd brake light as well and seal up all the holes in the trunk/rear deck.

Anton

Damn, you're not screwing around with your install, are you?

That's really...uh...naked...

Do you think removing the headliner was wise though? I've heard headliners, once jacked up, will NEVER be "quite" right....I would love to take out my headliner and put in black headliner (it's grey right now)....

Its not as hard as you think at all. I don't have my headliner in there right now either. Thinking about black one too
