Default Choice for JL Audio 12W series subs

Hey guys,

Planning this set up in my IS250, I'm still trying to decide if I should go with 2 JL 12W3v3 or 1 12W6v2? what would you recommend? I'm going to use the 500/1v2 amp for the set up, so it's going to be the perfect amp for either 2 12W3's or 1 12W6. My question is, which one do you think will give the best results? I know that the 12W6v2 is the perfect sub for this amp, but there are also people saying that I should run 2 W3's at not max it out. What to do here? Thanks

Depends on the box too. but I think the w6 is better than the w3. why not just like a 10w7?

it will be in this box. and for 2 12W3's, i'll have another one on the driver's side. 1.35 cubic feet of air space.

so you think the 1 W6 will be enough, and better thant the 2 W3's?

if your going to use that particular box i would use the w3 since they take less airspace compared to the w6.
i had both hehe went from 2 w3v2 1 w6v2 to 2 w6v2 to 2 w3v2 haha so i went back and forth a lot but i dont think the 500/1 amps is enough for both 2 w3v2. i would recommend looking at fosgates 600x2 amp or a mono depending on what works for you. i had 2 p325.1 for my w3

personally I would get the 12w6 (2 of them)

and get the 1000/1 JL mono amp I would also do a custom enclosure and not use those boxes as you posted unless you are worried about the trunk space. This is exactly what I plan to do in the GS

Hey did you get that package??

I'm in the process of getting 2 10w6 installed powered by a 1000/1 in my GS. I will give you some reviews when complete.

Thanks

from the look of the box you wanna put the sub/s in i would do the 2 w3's..but i'm actually gettin' a 12" w6 w/500watt amp with the JL enclosure it's PERFECT. btw, 12's are better than 10's..and W6 PERIOD!! u don't need a trunk!

If your worry about trunk space do the W3 setup. If not do the W6. But i personally would go for a W7 in a custome box where the spare is at and run it with a 1000/1 mono block. Add have a JL grill over it for a flush look
