Radio Making Popping/Skipping sounds
*This is posted in the model specific forum as well....
I search and couldnt turn up anything.
1995 SC400 - Stereo is making a popping noise that sounds a lot like a skipping CD. It does this in all modes....i.e. radio, cd player, etc. The sound still comes through like its trying to play its just all choppy. Its all in time meaning its not an irregular ticking.
This started out of nowhere. I had not just left the car wash or anything. I checked for loose/blown fuses and those are all good.
Im guessing the amp could be bad? But if that were the case it shouldnt play anything at all, right?
Anyway, Im stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem, I replaced all wiring and everything. Both amps do the same thing, so I'm guessing battery first, then alternator then the possibility of needing a capacitor...I'm buying a new battery tomorrow. The sound skipping is VERY annoying!
